Abstract

This is paper aims to present the final results of the Postdoctoral research with the project Crossings of cultures and identities in Roraima's poetic songs. The research aimed to investigate cultural identity in the poetic-musical production, in order to broaden the discussion to the conceptualization of identities that can not be seen only with oral tradition, but with ethnic groups, with construction and The ritualization of the Amazonian myths, the collective imaginary, the linguistic diversity that forms the multiplicity of the people of Roraimense and, at the same time, singles them out with sui generis traits within their plural tradition. Entering the analysis of identities and cultural diversity of peoples in Roraima, it is clear that Tomaz Tadeu da Silva's (2000) view contributes to the examination of the chosen texts, namely: Roraimeira, Norteando, Casa de Caboclo, Pimenta com Sal, Tribe Memory, All Indian, Makunaimando and Cruviana, as well as an interview with Zeca Preto and Eliakin Rufino. Under the anchorage of cultural studies and literature theory, the essay brought a discussion around relevant authors, namely: Arjun Appadurai (2004), Stuart Hall (1993), Tomaz Tadeu da Silva (2000), Alfredo Bosi (1992) ) Silviano Santiago (2000), Zigmunt Bauman (1999) and others.
