Diagnosis in addition and subtraction operations student with Down Syndrome in 3rd grade elementary school

The research aims to analyze the diagnosis through the Student Problem Situations Activity based on the Historical-Cultural theory of the activity from the perspective of the authors Galperin, Talízina and Majmutov in learning the operations of addition and subtraction in a student with Down Syndrome in 3rd grade of elementary school. The research has a qualitative approach and the production of information is carried out through problematizing tasks and observation. It is concluded that the starting level is not adequate and a didactic sequence is proposed in order to develop the skills of logical mathematical reasoning within the zone of proximal development.
