Abstract

The present work is part of a very widespread and diverse discussion formulated in a philosophical and theological scope, usually presented as a “question of God”. We seek to present the analysis of one of the positions of this questioning, specifically that of L. Wittgenstein, from the philosophical-systematic perspective undertaken by Lorenz B. Puntel in his work Being and God. For this purpose, it will be necessary to present the problematic issue from an approach considered inadequate by Puntel: Wittgenstein's totally anti-systematic, anti-theoretical and direct approach based on John Hyman's criticism. After exposing the basic concepts of systematic philosophy as a general theory of Puntel's Being, the discussion of inadequate approaches to the question of God, the theory of figuration, the concept of “mystic” and the perspective guided by “language games”, we seek to point out the supposed weaknesses of Wittgenstein's position in contrast to the systematic-structural philosophy.
