2020: Dossier - The COVID-19 pandemic in the Amazon and in the World: Challenges and Perspectives

In this issue, the journal Ambiente: Gestão e Desenvolvimento - ISSN 1981-4127, because it is a multidisciplinary journal centered on the plurality of ideas and with the aim of sharing the reflections of researchers, presents the Thematic Dossier: "The COVID-19 pandemic in the Amazon and in the World: challenges and perspectives.” This is an edition that features eleven articles that cover the areas of Biological and Health Sciences, Exact and Agrarian Sciences, Human Sciences and Socially Applied Sciences, showing multidisciplinary perspectives on the COVID pandemic -19.

In a scenario of disrepute of education and science in our country, it is extremely important that researchers are attentive to the themes in which Brazil's new international performance has a more intense impact, as is the case of issues related to democracy, environment and human rights brought here. In this context, it is relevant that any scientific journal is a promoter and disseminator of reflections pertinent to combating and reducing the impacts of COVID-19 in different areas of knowledge. Thus, we hope that everyone has a good reading and that this Dossier will serve, mainly, as a vehicle of reliable and relevant academic information for recording the moment we are living.
