Abstract

In order to keep up with the new digital technologies in contemporary education and based on the assumption that it is not necessary to radically break away from the old pedagogical practices at the expense of updating the new teaching possibilities, opting for harmony between the methods, The research in question investigated the problem involving the relevance of the use of technology in teaching to improve the quality of education by analyzing issues related to initial training and teacher training. To this end, a study was made of the distance learning platform of the Ministry of Education called Ava Mec, which is used as an alternative for complementing teacher training. As a methodological strategy, a bibliographic research was carried out with data collection from the Ministry of Education's website. The analysis showed that this platform has / offers important courses that can be used to clarify concepts and promote an integration of the curriculum with the New Digital Technologies of Information and Communication - NTDIC, as well as, alert the teaching class to the importance of the appropriation of these.
