Abstract

Throughout my academic career I have dedicated myself to the literary field as a space for reflection. It is a fact that my reading has been built on provocative and transgressive texts to the forms of power and control. I see that this choice is strengthened each time I come across writings like those by Kanguimbu Ananaz.

I confess that my immersion in the applicable literature by women on the African continent took place through the romanesque writing of Dina Salustio. But at the end of 2020, Dr. Diane Santos (University of Playa Ancha-Chile) presented me with a work Seios e Ventres (2020), a set of provocative poems, both in the way and in the senses and effects obtained by the power of words.

Angolan Kanguimbu Ananaz, stage name of Maria Manuela Cristina Ananaz, in Seios e Ventres (2020), reaffirms female writing on the African continent. Psychologist and Master of Arts from Universidade Agostinho Neto (Angola) is the literary field that best reflects her performance: short story writer, essayist, novelist, social activist and above all Woman.
