A EXPERIÊNCIA DE DUVIDAR DE TUDO: REFLEXÕES SOB`RE A DÚVIDA METÓDICA DE RENÉ DESCARTES

A filosofia de René Descartes (1596-1650) faz da dúvida cética um instrumento da verdade, mas como? Se Descartes não se considerava um cético, tal como os pirrônicos, porquê tamanha insistência em valer-se do desafio cético para superar um passado irrefletido? O filósofo do método, das ideias claras e distintas, matemático e defensor de uma ciência embasada em princípios sólidos, usou o ceticismo para refutar a dúvida pirrônica? Tendo em vista estas questões fundamentais à compreensão filosófica do pensamento cartesiano, neste artigo propomos apresentar o percurso cético de René Descartes, exposto em sua famosa dúvida metódica, tal qual esta aparece na primeira das Meditações de Filosofia Primeira (1641), obra capital do filósofo francês.
