Traffic Accidents (AT) kill about 47 thousand people in Brazil in 2018, according to the UN, is the second leading cause of death in Brazil, and currently the country ranks fifth in the ranking of countries with the highest rates of death. death in traffic, according to WHO, behind only India, China, the US and Russia. National expenditure on TA victims funded by SUS reached a total of 56 billion reais (ONSV, 2014). In the state of Roraima, TA has become a serious health problem because about 90% of hospital admissions to beds are occupied by TA victims. The aim of the research was to point out what types of impacts TA causes in the health and traffic sectors of Roraima. The methodology as the approach was of the qualitative-qualitative type with a descriptive approach, this is justifiable because it was applied as a data collection instrument the documentary and field research (questionnaire and consultation in public archives). The study revealed that in health care TAs cause overcrowding of beds, overuse of medication, commitment and overload of health professionals, deaths and a legion of sequelae, with the majority of males and young people in the age group. 20 to 39 years. As for the traffic area, it was found that the misbehavior of drivers (malpractice, recklessness and negligence), and disrespect for traffic laws were the main causes of TA.
