Realizouse um levantamento sobre o ensino de química nas escolas do município de Rorainópolis com a ajuda dos graduandos do curso de Licenciatura Plena em Química da Universidade Estadual de Roraima – UERR, entre 2007 e 2009. Com base nos resultados, aulas diferenciadas foram elaboradas e um projeto de extensão foi realizado para melhorar o aprendizado dos graduandos e para que os mesmos aplicassem tal conhecimento em sala de aula durante o período de docência nas disciplinas de estágio supervisionado.
