Pretende-se abordar aspectos relativos à análise interpretativa do discurso retórico musical encontrado no trio-sonata MUS 2661-Q/3 de Avondano, que está conservado em Dresden. Com base em dados históricos que remetem ao período de influência italiana em Portugal, que por sua vez recebeu músicos para compor o cenário musical, cujo copista da obra e atuante na corte durante este período foi Morgenstern.
