Logísticas para implantação de uma floresta de Mogno africano na vertente do Caparaó, Minas Gerais – Brasil

A demanda por modelos de uso sustentável da terra e alternativas produtivas de alto valor agregado tem impulsionado o cultivo de espécies florestais nobres como o mogno africano (Khaya senegalensis) em regiões tropicais de altitude. O objetivo principal foi analisar os aspectos logísticos, técnicos e econômicos envolvidos na implantação de florestas comerciais de mogno africano na Vertente do Caparaó, localizada no sudeste de Minas Gerais - Brasil. O estudo baseou-se em levantamento bibliográfico, análise geoespacial do território, revisão de experiências silviculturais nacionais e internacionais, além de simulação técnico-econômica que caracterizam a implantação. Os resultados demonstraram que a região possui elevada aptidão agroclimática para o cultivo da espécie, com solos profundos, clima tropical de altitude e topografia favorável ao manejo em curvas de nível. O custo acumulado por hectare nos primeiros cinco anos foi estimado em R$ 59.945,00, com retorno projetado de até R$ 690.000,00/ha ao final do ciclo produtivo (18 anos). A análise logística revelou gargalos relacionados à infra-estrutura rural, ausência de beneficiamento local e limitação no acesso a mudas certificadas, o que reforça a necessidade de organização cooperativa e apoios institucionais. A implantação do mogno africano na Vertente do Caparaó mineiro (Brasil), condicionada a práticas silviculturais flexíveis, certificação florestal e integração à cadeia produtiva do café já consolidada, apresenta-se como uma alternativa viável para diversificação econômica e recuperação ambiental em territórios montanhosos. Conclui-se que o sucesso do cultivo está condicionado à construção de uma logística florestal adaptada ao território e à articulação entre agentes locais, técnicos e políticas públicas.
