Abstract

The text is part of the discipline Education, State and Public Policies, taken at the Graduate Program in Education – PPGE/UFAM. This is a bibliographic essay in which we seek to reflect under a sociological perspective about the role of International Organizations and their influences and/or interferences in Higher Education Policies in Brazil. In fact, the work is divided into four sections, which include the introduction and conclusion: in the first part, we deal with International Organizations and their influences on Public Policies for Higher Education; in the second part, we made incursions into the context of Public Policies for Higher Education and its relations with governments and political parties based on the guidelines of big capital led by the World Bank and its subsidiary organizations. And, finally, in the conclusion, we seek to relate the reflection on the issues addressed in the article to the role of the interiorization of Higher Education.
